If is has an OEM Roller cam it will have a thrust plate. Retro fit roller cams use a thrust button between the cam & cover.

Some of the aftermarket double roller chains are wider and can rub the chain cover or the block area behind the cam gear too. If it's rubbing the timing chain cover try using 2 gaskets or a new aftermarket cover.

If the chain is rubbing on the block, remove the chain and cam sprocket, cover everything well so that no trash gets into anything and grind the face of the block to allow some clearance. No big deal.
