Cam Timeing

hello i before i ask the question let me tell you what i got

i have a early 70s 350 sbc that is 30 over
performer-plus cam rpm range: Idle-5500
Performer intake
130 hp shot of NOZ
Stock Heads " For Now"
i will be running this in a 1981 Camaro

my problem is that i have bought a gear on gear timeing set and i am able to retard the timeing 0-5 degreese and i am un sure what i should be puting it at.

Im just learning about this stuff too. But most SBCs are good @ about 2-4* advance. It depends on the specific cam. Im sure the other guys can help you with that.

The cam should be timed at the cam manufacturer's recommend ILC degree.
I can guarantee you that it never needs to be retarded, especially with nitrous.
