I have a 350 goodwrench crate engine in a 82 Z28.It has a turbo 350 Holley street Dominator a Holley 650 I think stock converter.I,m eventully going to change the heads,But funds are limited.I would like to start with cam and headers.Any Ideals what cam or specs would go well with this combo?

Before you get into the engine what gear ratio do you have in the rear end? A lot of the automatic cars had low 3.0's for gas mileage. If you don't do a lot of long freeway driving then a switch to a set of 3.73's would make a BIG difference.

Very hard to recommend a cam but you don't want to overcam it due to the crates low compression. Maybe a Comp XE262...218/224 dur. and 462/469 lift. You didn't say what year crate engine it is but if it doesn't have a set of GM Vortec heads then thats what I would use, should boost your compression also but make sure you figure that out before hand.

Leave the cam thats in it now and do the whole top end at once.
I don't understand why people buy these motors when its not the motor they really want.

High performance cams need higher than stock compression and head flow to work. GM should have run off a bunch of cast domed pistons for this motor to offer a high compression 10:1 option.
Wait, that would be meeting a market demand

Your best low buck bet for this dished piston motor is a set of shaved vortec heads and shim gaskets.

do a search on chevy high performance magazine. they did a 8 part series on a Goodwrench 350 buildup.

a set of headers and a small cam (like an edelbrock performer: 204/214 at 0.050") can add some good power. A little diy bowl smoothing under the valves would be worth another 20hp. I believe they made around 290hp in the first article using a goodwrench 350 with a mild cam, headers, and some bowl smoothing.

here you go.
