cam upgrade question

Is it possible to take a stock 4.3liter Chevrolet motor and put a little more aggressive cam in it without changing anything else? i know i will have to tear apart the front end to install it but in interest of saving money i want to know if i have to change rockers and pushrods and all of those good things as well. any help is greatly appreciated.

Chad, if like you said, you are just looking for a little more umphh, choose the first cam in the grinder's catalog. Check through Crane, Isky, Crower, Lunati and Comp and look at their very first catalog offering for your motor. That'll be the cam that you can just swap out with the stocker, running it on stock valve springs. Something on the order of 194 intake/204 exhaust degrees duration @0.050" tappet lift will do the trick.
