Cam and Valve Spring help??

I am currenlty building a street 383 and need cam help. The egine will be hooked to a t56 in my s10 and wont see over 6000-6200 rpms. The compression will be 9.7-9.8 with dart 215cc heads.

I want a roller hydrualic cam. I found one from Comp cams that i like.
Comp cam magnum roller
Its the CS 286H-R10 grind number
rpm 2500-6000 230/230 @ 0.50 lift lift with 1.5 rocker .560

Is this a good cam for my engine or should i go with a little more like 240 @ 050??

Also i need new springs for my dart iron eagle heads?? Would like a set of Comp Cams roller spring be good?? or should i get another name like Isky because i heard there good??

I was looking a Comp Cam roller springs. They are 1.430 inch in diameter. These will fit my dart heads right?? What spring rate should i get?? Comp has 296, 333, and 344 lbs/in rate. What one will do me the best??

can't say on the cam, though the duration seems low.

i have never heard of a roller spring.

your best bet. figure out what you want from the engine. then call comp cams and ask them.

btw. calling an s10 an "sdime" makes you sound like a young puck. because thats what the young pucks call them . this is not good for you = nobody wants to help a puck. and, it also degrades the vehicals image to the rest of the hot rodding comunity. fyi.

call comp/lunati/crane..... they can match springs to anything. They can also match a cam to your setup.

I think he means roller springs as in springs used in a roller cam application.

IMO.... PSI,Kmotion,Isky make the best springs on the market.

Yes without a doubt call a cam manufacturer. We all can throw resonable cams your way but lets face it,the manufacturere makes them for a living and has test room full of engines on dynos.
And witha few punchs on the puter buttons can wip up a custom grind if need be.
