camel hump or double hump

Just a quick question...
I see both camel hump and double hump chevy heads talked about on here and for sale on ebay all the time. What are the difference between the two? I have a set of heads that my mechanic told me were double hump heads. How much better are these than the stock crate motor heads?

Camel/Double hump heads used to be popular bolt-on upgrades because they would provide an increase in compression ratio and a slight inprovement in breathing. But they are pre-unleaded heads and most of them don't have accessory bolt holes in the ends. There are far better choices available for upgrading performance than those obsolete heads. Any aftermarket head or stock Vortec head is a better choice.
