Camshaft
Picked up a camshaft brand new for free it was in a Herbert performance box but after researching, it is not a Herbert cam the numbers on the end of the cam are Z012 its for a SB Chevy does anybody have a clue or can help me find the manufactures

Chet Herbert "reground" cams. I don't recall him doing anything "new". It's very possibly the Herbert cam is ground on a core with the numbers you describe. If "new", the base circle will measure the same as a "stock" cam. Not at the shop right now, so I can't measure one for you. There should be a label on the box with cam parameters.

The end caps are missing off the box I think the specs was on the end and when I talked to Herbert they said that it deff. wasent their cam
|
