Camshaft advice.
Hello guys.
I'm throwing together an engine for my lil Chevy Monza TH-350 trans with 2500 stall converter. (may have 3500 that i might use if that's better) 4.10:1 gears and 28" tires Engine vise i have is a std 4 bolt 350 with dish pistons. (9.25:1 comp) 64cc 215cc aluminum heads. (yes i know on the bigger side, but i got them, so why not use them) Performer RPM intake manifold and 750 Holley DP carb. Exhaust consist of 1.5/8" long tube headers and dual 2.5" exhaust. I don't mind running solid cam if i have to. Can you guys suggest a cam for my street strip Monza, As i don't want to choose way to big of a cam, and don't wan't the car to be total dog on the street ! Best regards. |
What's the volume of the piston dish? I see 9.4 c.r. with flat tops, .025 in the hole, for your setup.

I may have messed up my calculations, but the pistons are stock dished, iirc they are -16cc dish and i will use 0.015" head gasket,

Sbc 350, finishing touch, camshaft
Can someone on this fantastic forum give me some good guidelines on choosing camshaft for my car, or recommend someone that i could talk to that can.

You need to fix up the compression ratio first.
|
What would be the best way to do that, and what would be ideal compression ratio? I want it to run on regular pump gas.
