Camshaft help

96 L31 in a 96 GMC Safari. Van to be used as daily driver and to pull a 22 ft camper. The motor was bought mid rebuild. New .030 pistons. rod and main bearings. New cam bearings installed.new valve guides and seals. 3 angle valve job. New valve springs. No camshaft. lifters. Any help on a cam would be greatly appreciated. So basically I bought an expensive anchor for my boat. Should have stuck to Ford. Thank you anyway

Then we need more info. Your running Vortec heads I`m guessing since you say it`s a L31, were the guides clearanced so you can run a larger cam? This a daily driver? What`s the rear gear ratio? What transmission, auto or stick? What intake? what carb?
How far down is the pistons at TDC? what thickness head gaskets? are the pistons flat tops or dish tops? The cam is the brain of the engine, we got to know all the info on the engine before we can tell you what cam.
