camshaft for lifted truck

I am doing a frame off resto on a 84 chevy shortbox 4" lift 33" gears th350 trans performer intake 750 holley stock heads gasket matched just a weekend truck no mud or trails too much time and $$ invested for that looking for a cam with a little thump at idle but nothing to crazy

Needs a smaller carb, too. 650 is right for a stock-headed 350 and a flat tappet hydraulic cam. You'll get more out of a good "competition" type 650 than a street DP 750.

The cam is the "upper end" of the intake's capability. If you want more revs and less low-end, use Performer RPM and the 750. It's a bit of a miss-match with small valves and low comression. I like the Perfomer/650 combo better. More head work would wake it up with the "bigger" parts.
