Don';t be a woosy. Get a valve simple leverage type valve spring compressor and remove a valve spring and measure the spring coil bind stack height and the retainer to guide boss/seal clearance for yourself. Check the rocker arm to stud clearance while you are there.

Another alternative iis to use a "lift rule cam" with .450" valve lift.
Isky #201278 or 201288 with a 3500 stalll and 4.56 gears.
Thee two cams should be "degreed in" on a 102 intake C/L
Get some one to help you.

Isky 201268 or #201271 with a 3.73 gear and "mild stall"

All these cams have .450" valve lift. #201271 has .465" valve lift.

If you want to get adventureistic and try a cool and powerfull solid lifter Street cam use isky #201025 .480" gross lift .018" lash .462" net valve lift.
Not a problem with a stock valve train and Z/28 type replacement springs.
4.56's and a 3500 stall converter.

These following Isky hyd cams will bolt in and work fine with a stock valve train requiring only a Z/28 stock diameter replacement type spring.
Isky valve spring #205D @1.70" installed height is recomended.

#201268 268-MEGA-CAM 2000-6400 .450" 268° 224°@.050 107°LSA

#201278 278-MEGA-CAM 2500-6800 .450" 278° 234°@.050 106°LSA

#201288 288-MEGA-CAM 2800-7000 .450" 288° 244°@.050 106°LSA

#201271 270-MEGA-CAM 2000-6200 .465" 270° 221°@.050 108°LSA

Lots of powerfull bolt in cam choices.

Your friends won't know. Tell 'em "I got the Extreme/Voodoo cure in it". Our lil secret
