Don';t be a woosy. Get a valve simple leverage type valve spring compressor and remove a valve spring and measure the spring coil bind stack height and the retainer to guide boss/seal clearance for yourself. Check the rocker arm to stud clearance while you are there.
Another alternative iis to use a "lift rule cam" with .450" valve lift.
Isky #201278 or 201288 with a 3500 stalll and 4.56 gears.
Thee two cams should be "degreed in" on a 102 intake C/L
Get some one to help you.
Isky 201268 or #201271 with a 3.73 gear and "mild stall"
All these cams have .450" valve lift. #201271 has .465" valve lift.
If you want to get adventureistic and try a cool and powerfull solid lifter Street cam use isky
#201025 .480" gross lift .018" lash .462" net valve lift.
Not a problem with a stock valve train and Z/28 type replacement springs.
4.56's and a 3500 stall converter.
These following Isky hyd cams will bolt in and work fine with a stock valve train requiring only a Z/28 stock diameter replacement type spring.
Isky valve spring #205D @1.70" installed height is recomended.
