are hydraulic flat tappet cams more inclined to wipe out a lobe than a solid flat tappet camshaft. my reasoning here is that hyd grinds have 0 lash and a certain amout of preload vs. a solid profile has lash specs. just a thought, any opinions? Turbo

Actually hydraulic cams are easier on lobes because of less spring tension and zero lash. Mis adjusted solids tend to strike the cam as the clearance ramp starts.
