Here's my favorite 4 door: Car Feature: Renteria Brothers' 2,000-Horsepower, 6-second, 4-door, '65 Plymouth Valiant | BangShift.comBangShift.com

The first time I saw this car I started walking backwards around it, it had an unbelievable paint job, chromacolor if I remember right, and it was a 4 door. It kicked butt all weekend long. The owners are very cool and approachable.

I will move this post to the lounge in a day or so, this post needs to get more attention, IMO.

I've always been partial to Ford's panther platform, but I was absolutely smitten the first time I saw the "new" (at the time) Marauder.

How about a CTS-V Cad, I have driven them, they are basically a four door Vette.

Just my opinion here... Any car can be hotrodded. But a 4 door will never really be a Hotrod. Hopefully this makes scene.

I guess its all in the "terminology", you have "Hot Rods", "Rat Rods", "Street Rods" "Cruisers", "Sleepers", "Sleds", "Pro Streets", "Customs", "Tuners", "Classics"....all these can be considered to some as "Hot Rods". I would say the term "Hot Rod" is somewhat "Generic"....that is any car that is "Beefed Up" either from the factory or by someone can be looked at as a "Hot Rod".....I mean they even wrote a song about a "Hot Rod Lincoln".....now who would think a Lincoln would be considered a "Hot Rod".

Randy, where does a guy find all those beautiful 58's?

I love to see a 4 door that can smoke the tires. Sleeper? yeah, you betcha! Kind of opens the minds of closed minded folk when they watch the taillights of a four door that just had them for lunch.

Hot rod. IMO, a general statement for a souped up/fixed up/no longer stock automobile or truck. All the names after that, rat rod, sleepers, all the terms Mav said. Mav has the right idea. Heck, John Force calss his funny car a hot rod. I'm not going to argue with him, seems to be the ultimate in hot rodding but I don't believe you will find the car on the street.
