Post can i do it

have a 77 corvette 350 with 333882 heads,low pro.cam,cat.converter,egr valve,ect.what can do on a rebuild to get more power.can i drop the cat.converter & egr valve,ect in the process?
this is the stock engine,180hp & also has 8.5:1
dished pistons. would like to get around 300hp
or more.

If the pistons are forged, at 8.5 to 1 comp, add a small blower or a 125-150 shot of nitrous. Loose the convertor. HG

i agree with hemi ,supercharger the way to go specially for street wow factor and least amount of punishment to engine

i agree with hemi ,supercharger the way to go specially for street wow factor and least amount of punishment to engine .stock pistons will be fine as long as you dont go over 8 or 9 lbs boost
