The 350 turbo tranny in my car is about shot. I have another one lined up, but I was planning on putting a B&M shift improver kit in it. The instructions show how to install it when it is in the car. My question is: can I flip the transmission upside down and install the kit, or do I have to keep it at the same position that it is in when its installed?

Some people have all the luck. They show it like they do because most of the time the trans is in the car. It is twice as easy to put the kit in when the trans is upside down. all the check balls or at least the ones you use will stay where you put them. And the gaskets will stay in place. But the big thing is the fluid will not drip on you. Be sure to put the S rod back on the slector valve when putting the valve body back on. Also put a rag by the shift linkage so the S rod don't fall inside the unit.ROY
