weld

The weld you want avoid is probably the easiest weld to accomplish. Do not think that a weld is an unattractive thing. A good weld is wonderful .Grinding away a weld reduces strength so turn down the heat and use a 3/32 7018 welding rod or use er70s tig wire and tig it. Practice on a piece of scrap and then weld that puppy up. Wire buff the weld and it will be a thing of beauty.
