can i replace my electronic pressure control seleniod on my 4l60e trans?

im looking for a diagram of 2000 4l60e to see where the electronic pressure control seleniod is in the pan area..... my trans is slaming into d and reverse from park,,,,don't want to explode the trans and looking to replace pressure control selenoid myself........

Yes, you may be able to. I dont know your level of mechanical ability.

clik here for forum pages on a 4L60e disassemble process. About mid way is photos of the v-body PCS shown.

I would ask questions as to what method of diagnosis you used to determine this needed replacement of the PCS? Was a scanner used? Was there a pressure test performed?

The onboard computer of the vehicle will raise main line to maximum PSI for various malfunctions in the transmission sensors or other sensors in the power train that detect something wrong.

You may be replacing a part that functions fine.
