Here are some pictures of a current project that is going on in the shop where I painted my 34. It is a 50ish Chevy pickup on an S10 frame. I believe it is an extended cab S10 frame. The bed is off an S10 also, but has been highly modified to accept the 50's pickup rear fenders.

S10 frame under a '50 GMC

It seems to me that somewhere recently there was an article about a shop that made a kit for this swap. Can anyone help out here?

compare wheelbase, width, and test fit. It might work better (or worse) than you think.

Can I use a 1994 s10 blazer frame for my 1950 GMC? Reply to Thread

One of our club member just recently completed building a 50 Chevy pickup and put it on S10 frame. Many of the body mounts even lined up. I don't know if he used the long bed frame or not. He purposely shortened the bed anyway. He said it was a really easy swap. Turned out extremely well anyway and has won 3rd place in a major regional show in Atlanta, Ga.
