can MTK metallic ss be polished?

i recently sprayed a conversion van high top with Omni single stage paint blue urethane activated metallic. I was wondering if it is possible to use any sort of polishing or hand rubbing compound on this.It really turned out quite decent but I would like to know if this was a possibility at all. Also how long to cure before attempting any washing or cleaning of the surface?

In the mid 80's I painted a buttload of single stage(enamel) in a shop with little ventilation. They always had a haze to them because of the lack of airflow. I could take a wool pad and some fine compound and shine them up, carefully!!! As far as sanding and polishing,no sanding. I also let them dry for at least 2 days before I rubbed them.
You can wash and clean it the next day just don't let the sun dry the water on it cause it could waterspot. DO NOT use any wax for at least 60 to 90 days.
