Can someone tell me how to decode this T-400 tag?

Got this off my 79 3/4 ton. it reads C 754 H, 79-CH-30242

Not much there except for the date and the serial number. All it tells me is that it was built for a 79 chevrolet of some sort.

Thanks for the help. The numbers across the bottom are the seriel number or partial vin correct? If so, they dont match the truck's vin.. So now Im most interested in what the '754' stamped in the middle of the tag means. any ideas?

Bottom number are a SERIAL number for the transmission and have no correlation to VIN nor any other information.

I had one of those tags on my 700r4 and I couldn't fine any info. But all the autos I've seen with those tags are really clean inside an in good shape.
