Can someone tell me the steps to replacing seals on Rotary SP088 lift

I have a old Rotary 2 post lift that is leaking real bad out of one of the hydraulic cylinder rod seals.I have the rebuild kits in my hand but do not know where to start.I have built a few cylinders on my farm equiptment before. How do i get long skinny cylinder out to take it apart or do you build it in place?

I did one on our Ammco lift about a year ago. I took the ram out, screwed the end off, pulled the piston out, resealed the piston and the wiper and seal in the cap and reassembled it, pretty easy actually,
