the 333882 heads were used initially on 1970 to 76 smc 400. usually with 194 intake valves. th e 3970010 block is very common and was used for truck and high performance 4 bolt main applications however, there were some that were for two bolt applications...I have one of each. the 882 heads are very prone to cracking so I would have anything purchased used checked out before installing...experience speaking here. I had two sets of 882's now I have one. also the 327 can have the same 3970010 # in 68 and 69 corvette camaro and other high performance applications... that is all the info I have on that ...hope it helps

Any chance that 3978044 could be a roughly cast 3970014?
