well not really

i mean the revoluton of the electric engine is comming so i guess the ICE will be extinct..

combustion engines will be so out of date..

but i guess i could try and find a cleaner way for engines to run..

that would be nice wouldnt it?
but i would really like to work on cars generaly.. like everything

GM built an electric car in the late '90s called the EV1. I remember seeing a couple on the roads. It seemed like a step in the right direction to a lot of the pollution problems. It seemed to be selling well and was around for about 2 years then it "disappeared". The documentary investigates why it disappeared. It's one of those things that when you see it, it will probably make you mad. Kind of like Farenheit 9/11.

I'd also recommend "An Inconvenient Truth".

There are a lot of people who stumble upon this site and learn something just by visiting. I did that for a while before I bcame a member.

I also think that there are a lot of people out there that know you are starting out and want you to succeed. I want to see you get your VW project going.

Some things never change.
Sounds like you're off to a good start. I completely forgot about college courses.

Can Volkswagen's be Hot Rodded?

Hey yeah , I would Like too see, any young man or Woman, Build a Car .
I have 5 Son's none of have much interest in Car's .
Currently trying too trade 3 Grown Boy's for 2 skinny Girl's <<, My neices ! Just so I would have somebody beside's me , around here who can turn a wrench !
My sister ,get's furious with me ! Say's she is Raiseing young Ladies ? Not mechanic's / That I have 5 Boy's ? Get one of them too do it !
I tell her, it's too much Dramma , with the Boy's . There alway's Too busy doin there Hair , or Nail's or somethin ? <<< The Boy's ???
Not the girl's tho ! << They get it Done . Course being typical Female's , there is the Draw Back ? Of they actually expect too get paid ?
I merely suggest a Car needs Sandin or Washin or tire changed , Part's moved, or cleaned up ?
Next thing I know ! I owe um money ? Them Girl's dont mess around , when it come's too cash flow ! They Dugg Up some concrete for me once ? Oldest Girl out dugg every Boy in the Neighbourhood .
Buildin a Car is not easy . <<, Money too build one's not easy, either ? The Crush wear's off reall quick . Especially when 10 minute's from runnin . Somethin goe's wrong . Your faced with pullin the motor back out ? That and rebuildin it, over again ?
My 73 Baja Bugg is most vandalized , car in History . Of all the Car's Ive ever owned ? <, been more than a few ? I Built it 3 Times ! Due too Vandalism .
Yeah reason I went Back too , Bugg's is I was Tired of Playin watch Dog , On Mustang's . Baja's Open end Car ? Motor Exposed ? What was I thinkin ???
Yipp best you can hope for is , too get one Cherried out . Then your G/f Back's it intoo a Fire Hydrant ? <<, Same chick , is the one tell's , every one, you dont lett her drive your car ? Yeah ! Wonder why !
Point is ? Buildin Car's is not for Sissy's ! Mental Midgett's , or People who give up easy !
In fact ? It take's some real Moxy , Too complete a car ! Especially with no money ! Or very Little money ! <<, Gotta want it reall badd !
1 stepp at a time ! Gett the Undercoating scraped off that Ride ? Do A lil Upside down on your Back Wire brushin, with a 4 inch angle grinder. Might be you build a Lil more than just Character , and cool Ride .
Might be , you be lookin pretty cool in your 501's and white T-shirt << traditional Hot Rodder's Apparell ! << It's A Jame's Dean Thing !
Yipp Im bettin ? probably dont even know who Jame's Dean Is ? Did I mention im Old ? Or that reason ya cant tell me anything ? Is cause I invented the Wheel ?
Cleanin her up is a start ? Part time Jobb might not be a badd Idea? Car's cost money ! Skill's you learn <<, can figure out anything . Any Jobb Doin Anything ! { Except Lawyering } Cant Lie about Horse power , successfully ! << Ive tried it ! doesnt work !
As too electric Car's or Hybrid's ? << Get excited ! Electric motor's are, almost instantaneous Torque. There Is no better Time in history too be an American Hott Rodder ! <, Fact !
No Better time than your time ! dont waste it . It's Precious Time . Gett Busy stay Busy ! Do all you can do , everyday . <<, Doesnt mean doin your Hair ? Or wearin 100 Dollar, white sneakers , that ya cant get dirty ?
Anything I can do, too Help out . Point ya in right direction . Need a Walmart Hitt list ? <<< For Grandpa ? Vw, parts list ? Teach you your Vw Cookie's ?
Im in Direct competition , with 4 of are Local Bugg Guy's , out in the Wreckin yard's . That I know of ? <<, One's Ive caught , Snatchin Cookies Off Car's here ?
Your In South Carolina <<, Bone yard competition might not be , so highly Competetive . Not a Bigg demand for Vw' Cookies in South Carolina ? Least way I see it ! Not Like here ? Least I wouldnt think, so ?
But check the wreckin yard's << Might find set of Dual Carb's Cheap ? Just Gotta learn what your lookin for . Kadron's or Webber IDF Series or IDA48's . 041 Head's 044 Head's etc Stay away from Webber Prog's and Dual Solex 32 PSDIT's Serie's carb's . Repeat after Me ! There is no exception for Webbers << Meaning IDF series or IDA's 40's, 44,s or 48's , << These carb's look similar too each other . Look in Hot Vw's Magazine . Learn what they look like !
My Wife just brought Home a 64 thru 71 Chilton's Big Book ? 3 Buck's ? Covers almost entire Muscle car era . Found it at a Yard Sale !
Need too learn what your lookin for ? Zenith , Webbers , Holley Bug spray's all produced good Horse power Gaines . But a lott of Carb's that Didnt were sold for Vw's ?
Still being sold today ? touted as being the Stuff ? Gotta Learn , Good stuff from badd stuff , in Vw's . Vw's is a Buyer beware Program . Hot Vw's <<, Good Magg . But dont you beleive every thing you see and read in it !
Lott's of Junk on Vw Market . Most of it being sold thru there Magazines . Most of it Aftermarket made in Taiwannn .
HPMX << Chinneeese copy of the Webber IDF and IDA Think Put out by EMPI ? <, Ive heard Good , and Badd about these Carb's ? Italian webbers are preferd over Spanish Webber's ? Stock German Solex Preferd over Brazzilieria , Bocar Carb's << Can lose 100 Dollar core charge On Rebuilt Bocar , just in, the core exchange, for a German Solex ? Lott's too Learn ?
