I have really nice interior in the back of my leMans but my front bench is totaled so im putting in a pair of high back buckets out of a '79 firebird (that are black) My interior is brown. I was wondering if i could get the rest of the interior dyed? Or what about that vinyl interior paint? thanks alot...
I have seen it done and it held up better than I thought it would. You probably won't get it to match the seats that you have, so you will end up dyeing the whole lot.
If you live near a large city, find a well stocked automotive trim shop. Or possibly a paint store. My father used to be a distributor for Mar-Hyde and we used to custom mix dye colors for used car dealers all the time.
That spray dye works great on things that wont be on the constant pressure of someones big ***. LIke a dash, door panels, and kick panels things like that it will hold up good. Ima try and find some pics of this product used for you. For like 5 bucks a can its worth it.
Most of the dyes on the market look good. but I haven't found any that would stand up to heavy traffic , like the seat, arm rest etc.
