I have seen some real clean old cars in my day, so pre 1914,(searching memory please wait), 1911 is my year choice, and Packard is the maker.

I beg to differ on the bathtub full o' gals "only thing missing" comment.

EVERYONE knows that white t-shirts should be "standard uniform" for an event like that!

That's pretty interesting that it was restored in 1946. That may seem like the early days of restoring, but it's really not.

I am getting befuddled with age, but I think the Antique Automobile Club Of American dates to the late 30's.

The earliest professional restorer I have read about was "Pop" Rice. He started restoring cars for collectors in the 30s.

More trivia; The late Bill Harrah, at one time had the worlds largest antique auto collection, got started in 1946 by purchasing 2 antique cars from a close friends widow. One was a Maxwell that he paid around 4K for then. That was like insane...but he paid her that much as he wanted her to be financially "set". I believe Harrah at that time in '46-47 was commuting from LA to the casino in a souped up v-12 lincoln Continental...a hotrodder.. In his later years, his crew
stuffed a Ferrari motor in his Jeep

You know what, I trip, and fall, then bang my head on the curb, and wake up to my senses in the gutter every day.

I agree white t-shirts are better.

If you ever get a chance to go to the Harrahs auto museum in Reno NV that Jeep Wagoneer is there. It is pretty cool and a hell of a piece of craftmenship. If you notice in the photo the fenders and hood are lengthened about 5 inchs in front of the wheels. They are hammerwelded pretty nice and you can see the weld going across the underside of the hood from side to side.
