Can you help me check a VIN?

I picked up a 66 Ford Galaxie, and I was wondering if someone knows how to check the VIN. I am not real familiar with fords, and I have been seeing different grills in pics. If someone could run this #, and just make sure this thing is a 66. VIN# 6G66C2xxxx

Thanks for the help!
Mike

Mike--
There are 3 or 4 different grills

Custom, Galaxie----Galaxie 500----Galaxie 500 XL
And I am not sure but I believe the LTD made it's debut
in that year---coulda been 67 though

I would have a different grille as well

Chrysler and Dodge did the same thing
Different grille for each model or price class

Bryan
