Can you I.D. this part?

This is an NOS part probably from the late 50s to early 60s. Can anyone tell me what vehicle it goes on? I think it is a hood ornament insert.Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

strange part

I've been in and/or driven virtually every American car built since 1927 up to the late 70s. I've NEVER seen anything like your part. Couldn't be for the exterior - it would craze too easily. Maybe it's an air director for the rear package shelf on some car - looks like a scoop and seems to have a windsplit in the middle and an exit at the rear. I am stumped.

Traffic Light Viewer?

Hey Speedy, My first thought was a traffic light viewer lens. Maybe hood mounted in a frame? But I don't have a clue what it fits. If you can get some of the regular guys on the TRIVIA thread to hunt for you, I'll bet they will figure it out. olnolan
