Can you id this non 65 rearend on a 65 Chevy

This 65 is becoming quite fun at finding new parts and wondering what they are from.yet again im asking advice on what this rear end is out of because I've never seen a 60-66 have one like it before.it's a 12 bolt with like sway bar mounts

Looks like the one I had in my 65. Seems someone installed a different panhard bar so they needed a new bracket.

I found your other thread with your truck pics. Is that rearend 5 bolt? If so it could be from a 71 or 72. Same as a 65 but 2 inches wider. That could account for the panhard bar change.

I agree. I don't have any REAL good pics of my diff ... but it sure looks like the stock diff in my 66 GMC.

I found a link to the ID charts

It's a GM truck 12 bolt. Looks like a November 19th 1969 casting date.
