I just painted a motorcycle gas tank with some paint fron E-Bay (Hawthorne Rayflex Acrylic Enamel) Metallic Purple, I waited a week then clear coated it with their Clear Acrylic enamel, if I let it dry for a month or 2 can I wet sand and buff it? thanks Dennis

Did you use a catalyst (hardener) in the clear?

If so, you can colour sand it now. If not, you should be safe in a couple of months, but would be better if you used a hardener.

No I didn't use a hardener, what does Colour sand mean? As you can tell I'am a beginner at this!--Thanks Dennis

Same as what you are calling wet sanding...................Just don't sand through the clear coat.
