I've gotcha now.....
Check THIS out...
![]() We are the home of Winnie the Pooh. Originally a Black bear who was the pet of a lieutenant in the Canadian Army, Harry Colburn, who in 1914 was off to fight in WWI. The bear was named Winnie after Colburn's home town of Winnipeg and when he was shipped overseas to London, Winnie went too. She was a mascot for Colburn and his regimen, but for Winnie's safety she was left to the safekeeping of the London zoo, where A. A. Milne and his son Christopher were frequent visitors. Milne wove a tale for his son, and Winnie the Pooh was born. Chickie.

Well thats just plain wonderful, I knew there was pooh in Winnipeg. On a more serious note though, did you know that Saskatchewan is the birthplace of Medicare. The esteemed Tommy Douglas, Saskatchewan Premier of the time implemented this program and the rest of Canada liked it so much that they bought too. If it weren't for Saskatchewan, you wouldn't be able to go to the doctors and have a boil lanced... for free.

Thanks for showing us your bridge, Chickie but don't show us your mountains. I 'd hate for 4 jaw to poke me in the eyes for lusting... er.... I mean looking at them.
(just joking) I'll try to behave myself. I said I'd try not that I would. Have been enjoying you and Stevies one upmanship. |

Yes they did, as a matter of fact, yes they did. And no, I am not ready to give up yet. I'm getting close though. We are the only western province to have had a Prime Minister. Why yes that would be John Diefenbaker. We named a lake after him as well, then drained it. I am not including Kim Campbell in this as she only lasted an hour or so.
This is getting tuff We are a small province I remain your pal Steve

Alrighty then....
2/3 of the more than 500 species of birds native to Canada come to the Manitoba marshes and wetlands. We are a premier wildlife watching destination with almost the highest densities of Moose, Elk and Black Bear (I know they used to crap in our back yard).
Next.... Chickie. |
