Did you know that Winnipeg has over 400 indoor and/or outdoor murals painted by amatuer artists and sponsered by "take Pride Winnipeg"?
This was last years' Mural of the Year:

And we continue...

All good Canadians know that Toronto is the centre of the universe.

OK, I'm braced, bring on the insults....lol.

Toronto is hard to remember and easy to forget. Having grown up there myself I can't remember any of it.

Steve

Those are some nice murals. We're kinda suffering that way here in Regina although we do have a bunch of pig sculptures. Regina does lay claim to Canada's 1st, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and soon to come 4th annual International Art Car Parade as part of the Cathedral Village Arts Festival in May. My wife and I organize it every year.

must google now

Doh....

How could I forget the annual Winnipeg Folk Festival. We've been going for the last 12 years (when we can afford it) and last year took the kids. It's been running for 30 years and people come from all over the world to attend the 4 day event. It's WAY COOL......bands like the Bare Naked Ladies, Blue Rodeo and the Crashtest Dummies got their best exposure there.

Chickie.

That's a faux pas (can't find in spell checker). Only midwesterners are allowed to use the term, " you guys," for all male and female individuals, eh.

I heard that the mosquitoes in Manitoba are the size of seagulls.

Of course we have summer, Chickie. Its in July sometime....well ok we don't.

Hey 38, Winnipeg is in the Midwest. Some would say the far east but no way, not me, I'm wouldn't say anything like that, Winnipeg is smack dab in the mid west.
