Just thought of something...
I did read the other Kandy paint threads in this forum before posting, but basically I was just wondering if anyone else has used this combination before, and did it give them any problems. |

Thanx for the info...
About making your paint smooth, and not as peely. Dont spray your basecoat on too dry it can cause the peely look in your clear. Also when your clearing dont pile the clear on it only makes the orange peel larger and it may solvent pop. Best thing to do is take your time, and back up to about 6-8 inches from the car with your gun and go a little slower. If your using single stage paint, spray it the same way you spray your clear. There are other factors in making your paint smoother, like types of reducer you use, type of clear, hardner etc... If your painting it in a garage or at home somewhere, you can't help but use fast reducer, and clears. But if you have a booth to spray in, the slower the stuff dries, the slicker it will be. again take your time, and dont but your coats on back to back.....good way to get runs... |
