Can't find master cylinder part, help!!!
 

I have a 1953 chevy 3100. I have new brakelines and a new master cylinder on it. There is a division block and bolt that attaches to the back of the master cylinder for the brake lines. I can't find this part anywheres and have been looking for a really long time. This is the only thing keeping me from geting my truck on the road. Thanks!

I have looked everywheres. They have the division blocks for the wheel cylinders and that about it. No one has the part that attaches to the back of the master cylinder.

Very similar. The block is suposed to have two ports for front and rear brake lines. The original I had cracked and it got lost.

if you cant find the original i would get a tee and attach it to this block in either case you should call them if you havent allready and see if they can help

I have called Jim carters before and told him what was goin on and that was what he sent me. The bolt was too small and the thready didn't match the brake line. I don't understand why I'm having trouble with this. They sell brake lines and master cylinders, why not sell the part to connect the two

some times its like that. you may have to find a used one start searching salvage yards and im sure you will find one they can ship out to you

I am headed over to a freinds house who has parted out dozens of those AD trucks, I'll see if he has something laying around too.

The M/C isn't the factory original one, is it?

If it was a simple distribution block you can take a look at the distribution blocks HERE to see if any look like something that you could use.

If it was a hold-off valve (shown below- note the large hex plug covering the valve), it can be replaced w/a distribution block. You may want an adjustable proportioning valve, depending.

I didn't have one, sorry. I was hoping a master cyl I had out back would have it but no luck. Honestly, this isn't rocket science the universal brass drawers at a good parts store WILL have the components needed to put it together.
