cant get my heads off??

lol, i took all (14 total i think) bolts that line the top and bottom of my head then i took the 5 bolts under the valve covers off, now i cant pull this thing off! itwont budge!! what gives? did i miss somthing? its a 350.

what you're missing are 3 bolts!

There are 17 on a SBC. Look under the exhaust manifold.

do i have to take my intake off to get the heads off? lol never taken an truck engine apart before..

Take the intake off, then you can remove the heads. The head should lift off but you may have to gently pry it up. Dont do it too hard because you dont want to damage the head gasket sealing surface... The engine is no different than one you might find in a car...It'll come apart the same way...

Yes the intake will need to come off as well.

oh ok, thanks.

went out and counted, 19 bolts hmmmm

starting to get dark ill take the intake and heads off tomarrow i guess.

There should be 17 I believe head bolts and the intake has to go too.Then you'll need to pry the head off.Do so at the corners and make sure your not in a postion that will scare or chip the block or heads.

lol no only a few months dose it really get dark and thats when its light from 10am-3:30pm at the least... summer its light 24/7
now its 6:15pm and ts working towards sunset, wont be dark tell 7-7:30.
springs here! acually im on spring break as of today from school



WAAAY up north i hear it can be dark 24/7 at times in the winter... creepy sens i dont really like the dark
