Caprice sleeper

Hello everyone my name is jay and i recently traded my 90 accord for a mint 80 caprice classic. The car has No rot just a few areas of surface rust and needs a new soft top. It has the very slow 3.8L 229 chevy V6 with a 200c tranny. The current engine needs a few valves so a V8 swap is in the making also the tranny is slipping too. Plans are to use a 350 out of an elcamino i have and possibly bore and stroke it to a 383. So fare i plan to use a TH-350 out of a 82 firebird but im keeping an eye out for a 700R-4. As far as the exterior no modifications will be made, I love the hubcaps and white walls and the exhaust will be as quiet as possible, remember its a SLEEPER!!!!

Good choice! The 80's caprice is an awesome choice to make a sleeper out of, they're pretty light for a fullsize car, have good looks and no one ever expects anything out of them! Yours looks a lot like my 84 with exception to the vinyl top. Best of luck.
