Great stuff, inkwork! Looking at your pics makes me wanna do some color stuff.
Thanks job rated- I spent a half hour trying to figure the contest out- but could'nt find what I'm supposed to draw. Does it matter what the subject is?

Yes, it does - the thread is titled 'Hot Rod Art Contest 79C10 da man' & the subject is a '57 Chevy pick-Up.

If you scroll through, you'll see a couple of other threads in a similar vein 'Malc's da man' where the subject was a '71 AMC Hornet & 'Job~Rated's da man' where I chose a '54 Ford Mk I Zephyr Zodiac - proper British tin.

Yeah, I forgot to mention, those that take part get to vote for their favourite pic submitted & the winner chooses the next subject - usually 2 weeks to draw it & a few days polling time.

Awesome stuff, wish I could draw like that. The style of your drawings are similar to the kind of stuff in Road and Track, maybe sending it in to them would be good.

I'm feeling a serious competitor coming into the art contest. Inkwork that stuff's awesome. I studied cartooning waaayyy back in high school and that's the style I dug the most, it's where I wanted to go.
I was just about to break out my Prismacolors for the art contest, but man that league is getting tuff....

You guys are too kind. As for the Ol Skool Rods mag. Geno hired me, and paid me. I have not seen the issue yet, but it would'nt make sense not to print it. I hope he did. Now I'm gonna have to go get one, just to see. On another note- I was interviewed by another guy, and he did post it. The url is
http://culturegarage.com/2008/03/04/...rease-and-oil/
This is not my site- nor do I have any interest in it- accept being interviewed.
So I hope this does not get thought of as spam. If it is- I apologize in advance. I've just never been interviewed before- at least not for anything I was proud of.

OK, hold on. I read the article and noticed this little tidbit in there.

"current job requires him to be mechanically proficient in aerospace rocket technology"

So your art work IS rocket science!!
