Someone was thinking outside of the box.
The hood opening is very provocative.

The name too....Gina....short for ....what do you think?

Virgina? Angina? Ginandtonic?

Do you get a sewing kit with the spare tire?

Later, mikey

Ok, the text could be from 1953 introducing the new Corvette. Watch it again and picture a 1953 Vette while reading the text. If you are that old to grasp what it was like in 1953 you will get it.

I am fascinated at the car, I LOVE concept cars, always have. I would like to touch one and get a feel of what this thing is all about. My jaw was dropped thru about three quarters of it until it hit me how this thing is made. I had this image of the kind of technology where the body really would be changing, the shape would simply CHANGE with some sort of advanced molecular controllable material. Then it hits me, the friggin thing is a cloth covered air plane! We have came so far we went back to a cloth covered 1938 Piper Cub J-3! It has a flexible cloth like skin on it with a tubing skeleton under it moved by motors that change the shape, not to advanced if you ask me.

Now, the "cloth" material is probably carbon fiber and some pretty trick stuff. The skeleton is probably carbon fiber tubing and what not, again pretty trick stuff. But all in all, there is nothing new here.

Go looking for something truly NEW since the advent of the automatic transmission in the early 50,s and you will find there is nothing. Just "updating" of old ideas. Harley Earl and the other designers of the big car companies did it all before boys and girls. In the fifties and sixties during the "space race" America was pulling out all the stops when it came to design teams in the big companies. They did it all back then, nothing new here.

Brian
