Post Car interior 1949 Lincoln

I know someone out here has put newer car seats into older cars. I want to put a set of seats from a Lincoln town car into the 49 Lincoln because it will give me more room and the fact that the seats are electric and not hydraulic. any ideas ?

Easy as pie.... Goto your local salvage yard and find the best leather seats you can and talk him down from the high $250 plus he is looking for and get them... Lexas cars have real nice seats as do lincolns and many other newer cars. Your car is plenty big enough to fit almost any seats from any newer cars just remember to bring a tape measure and metric tools... I do know from personal X-perenece 50 mercs hold buick Lesabre's int. real well.. not much fab work... Good luck Peace......Bobz_rodz

No problem as long as the width is right. I used to use the 60's Cadillac bench seats with 6 way power and electric heat in old pickups because they were kinda short and fit just fine. I found out the first one was electric heat when I wired it up direct on a hot summer day and I kept getting hotter, and hotter. I began to think about goin' to bed because I had a fever. Then I happened to lay my hand on the seat. Duh!! They sure were nice in the winter though. Just go outside early and turn the seat on.
