Post Car Just Stops Running

My neighbours got pissed so I had to put my exhaust on. Ever since then the car just doesnt idle or run. It last for like 10 sec then dies. I don't know what wrong. Also when u put the pipes to the exhaust manifold what goes first the cirle gasket or the flat one?? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

If you are sure you did not change anything in the engine compartment, it sounds like you have a restriction in the exhaust system. Get someone else to crank the engine and while it is running that 10 seconds put your hands over the end of the pipe. You should feel a strong flow of exhaust coming out of the end of the pipe. If not you ahve a restriction there.

One other thing you might check for, while you were putting in the exhaust system you may have knocked loose a vacuum line without realizing it, which would cause the condition you describe. If you have an automatic transmission, you may have knocked the vacuum line loose going to that.

Let us know what you find out.

Unless it is seriously clogged(Can't run a wire up through it) I would agree with the vaccum line idea. Hey, aint this motor head stuff fun! At least it's not aggggrrrrivating
