Top fuel motors are more like 1100 over the nose, pro stocks are also 1000 plus over the nose.

You guys thinl 10K is spinning fast try looking at the F1 cars and motors

9600 might be idle rpm...

I'm just passin' on info gained from talking to Melanie Troxel's crew chief. He could be wrong.

You gotta love a good comp eliminator motor if it is in a Super Stocker or a tube chassis comp car.

Do a search for Ramond Martins' K altered car or the the car Kevin Self drives. Ramonds car has a 200 or so inch 4 cyl. that he had a billet block, their own hand built carbs and a WJ prepped head on and the thing runs in the 7.40 range. Selfs' car has one of the Envoy 6 cyls in it and halls also.

look at the part #E915050 and E915055.Check out the seat and open pressures on those bad boys. One is an alcohol spring and one is a TF spring.

All crew cheifs are comedians... They will tell you all sorts of things that are not really true just to get a laugh...I don't think he was wrong,,,just not on the up and up with you...I am good friends with a crew member from Bruce Larsons T/FC days. I have herd all type of stories that will make milk shoot out of your nose...
