car lift plans

I am one of the very few hotrodders in Thailand and I need a car lift. The local ones are crap, and importing is out due to the really high duty and freight. I would love to phone up and have one shipped to me for 2K but I am going to have to build my own.

Anyone have a link to plans or someone that sells plans to build your own?

Thanks
Robert

Here is an alternative that looks interesting:

Iíd love to have a four-post lift in my garage, but alas, Iím a renter (so I canít have one installed without fuss) and relatively unwealthy. Thus, I had to search for a practical solution that would allow me to get to the underside of my 1800 without breaking the bank. I finally found inspiration in a 31-year-old issue of Practical Mechanics magazine, and thus, the Ramp Pit was born.

car lift plans

By the time I buy a lift and import the cost doubles, assuming that Customs do not need any tea money not to jerk me around. If I still lived in Canada I would buy one tomorrow.
The only real choice is to build one.

Teeter-totter idea looks good, but the whole idea is to avoid crawling in and out, and save my aging back.
