I've been shopping in WalMart for a lot of years and I've never seen automotive paint there, other than spray cans of cheap primer and some of the Duplicolor stuff.

not walmart

ADVANCE AUTO PARTS (where my uncle works) now sells duplicolor in gallons believe it or not in any color it's lacquer but i've used it on frames and just painted a truck with black lacquer put 5 coats on it wet sanded it with 600 grit paper buffed it with 3m medium grit compound it looks like a 2,000.00 paint job for less than 250.00 the paint is in quarts on the shelf for 19.88 + tax but ask and they'll show you the color chart to order from i went to our local automotive paint store and ask the guy for some lacquer paint he said they don't make lacquer paint anymore i showed him the truck and then showed the can he saw duplicolor on it and like to have dropped his teeth now he buys from advance auto parts store and sells it in his store for 25.00 a quart and can,t keep it on his shelves so try it and i believe you'll like it BALDCHEV

Yep Wal-Mart does (did?) indeed have auto paint I saw it at a Wal-Mart in Ky a couple of years back, it was Dupli-Color I think but I could be wrong about the brand. They had some basic non-metallic colors (in gallons) along with primer, thinner, etc. I remember thinking at the time, Yeah that should be some real good paint.
