No, this one is actually about cars. Yes, he was a rodeo cowboy before making as a country singer, but this one is actually about a car.

You've never heard of Chris LeDoux?

Chris

Chris ledoux also sang life is a highway. Garth brooks was always talking about him and redid some of his songs. Good crusin song is down boys by warrant or bullet boys smooth up in ya.
My mind is blank on songs about cars right now that weren't mentioned, all I can think of is rusty chevrolet by the yoopers if that counts. I need some piston rings, i need some new snow tires, ohh my car is held together by a piece of chicken wire, ohh rust and smoke, the heaters broke, the door just blew away, I light a match to see the dash and then I start to pray. Something like that.
And guitars and cadillacs by dwight yokum

David Lindley did a version of Mercury Blues - the best version, in my less than humble opinion. Never came across a version by Steve Millar, which isn't to say there wasn't one, of course...

No can't say I have, But then I'm not a fan of country outside of Johnny, Waylon and Patsie. No offense, just not my thing.

The other night I remembered "Detroit 442" by Blondie and an '80's band that was pretty popular on college radio called "Scruffy the Cat" had a song
"Nova SS 396".
