Its more of a heavy metal song but its hilarious! Its called "2ton paperweight" by Psychostick, be warned though it does swear but its funny. Brad |

You are all forgetting my all time favorite song...
455 rocket- Kathy Mattea- A great song! Mr. Smith had an Oldsmobile Baby blue with wire wheels I took her home the day she was advertised He said she leaks when it would rain Sounded like an aeroplane But I knew she was a jewel in disguise She had a 455 Rocket The biggest block alive I couldn't hardly wait just to take my turn She was made for the straight-a-ways She grew up hatin' Chevrolets She's a Rocket.....she was made to burn Well, whose junk pile piece of Chevelle is this? Did you boys come here to race or just kiss? Hmmm, now don't you wanna know What I got underneath my hood? I know she might sound like she's missing But, buddy she can teach you a lesson In just a quarter mile and I'll smoke you good In my 455 Rocket.....the kind the police drive I couldn't hardly wait just to take my turn She was made for the straight-a-ways She grew up hating Chevrolets She's a Rocket.....she was made to burn I'm tellin you and I ain't ashamed I cried when that wrecker came As we skid I thought I heard the angels sing Sounded like the Beach Boys We hit the curb then began to sail Took out most of the safety rail Even the cop asked me, "Man, what'd you have in that thing?" I had a 455 Rocket The very kind you drive You wanna watch yourself when you take that turn She was made for the straight-a-ways She grew up hatin' Chevrolets She's a Rocket.....she was made to burn, burn 'Cause, she's a Rocket..... She was made to burn |

Hot Rod Lincoln - , Dead Man's Curve - Jan and Dean, I spent time in a hospital with Jan, He was too cool, 56,57,58,59,60,61,and so on Cadillac- "1 PIECE AT A TIME" Johnny Cash, I believe that was one that went.. "toot toot, beep, beep, or something like that about a Little Nash Rambler. There was a morbid, semi gruesome one about a girl that went back to get her boy friend's ring she left in a stalled car, and the train happened by. I got a ton of others I can think of as well......

You started it...
Okay, I can already tell that this is the post where I get booted from this site.
Chris Ledoux was a personal hero. Bought a tape off the tailgate of his pickup when he won the Saddle Bronc title in '78. Saw him in concert 58 times. Wore a black armband the day he succombed to his liver disease. Amazed at his mention here. Another favorite is Junior Brown. Saw him at Billy Bob's Texas last year. My 10 year old son, Ryder, can sing every one of his songs, word for word. Here are some of my 'Driving Songs' playlist off my iPod. Sorry for duplicates.
