I'm thinking of selling my mustang and it has a stock 2bbl carb and cast iron intake. Has dual exhaust and tri-wye headers.

Do you think it's worth installing a 4bbl and aluminum intake? Is it worth the $300-$400?

Since the exhaust has already been modified, it should be worth the cost.........Depends whether the buyer wants an original car........I would keep the 2bbl parts to say it can be returned to original if the buyer wishes.

Won't most buyers know the exact value/cost of putting a 4bbl setup on that engine and be able to figure the sales price accordingly? I can't see that it would provide any "value added" and might just possibly cost you a few bucks because the buyer would figure some depreciation on the carb & manifold as soon as it comes out of the box. I think if it were me I'd leave the 2bbl as is and let the buyer decide what mods they want to make.

if it has the correct 2V duration camshaft and 2V calibrated dist model leave the 2V on...

"there's a sucker born every minute" but most folks are savvy enough to ask what cam is in a motor with headers and after mkt intake....

agree with Poncho, if it is a "C" code car save the parts for the next owner....
"correct coded dated parts" are starting to get scarce

No it is NOT worth the expense and time to install a 4 barrel carb & intake since you are trying to sell the car.

That installation will make the saleability better but it will not increase the selling price.

Save your money for your next project.
