Caraholic tip

Keep a bottle of "Oil of Wintergreen" in your garage. You have to get it from your pharmacy but it works better than Nut Buster, WD-40, Liquid wrench or anything I have found. It's an old shipyard trick, they deal with some pretty serious rust on ships on a regular bases.

Oil of wintergreen...

I have heard of it before but I don't remember the proper application. I use trans fluid to bust the rust on badly corroded nuts or bolts. When I don't have any old trans fluid around I use PB Blaster as a penetrant.

Oil if wintergreen

I have also used tranny fluid but it is not a viscous as wintergreen and doesn't penetrate as well. I think the penetration quality is the key to its effectiveness but what ever works for you is cool. Just trying to save a little knuckle skin.
