If the power valve is bad it will run rich.

I don't fully understand the sucking sound you described. Is it like a low whistle? If so, it may be you air bleeds.

ya kinda its like its not getting any air

Can you be more specific? The number you listed is the model # of the carb not the part #, can you give us the part #? What you do next to the carb is dependant on this information.

:welcome:

where is that

troy-curt 10-23-2004 05:26 PM

The part that sticks up above the body of the carb. and has the choke butterflys in it, there should be numbers on the front of it.

Should be some other numbers there, can you post those?

lluciano77 10-24-2004 12:48 AM

It is a 3310. The important question is 3310 dash what? 3310-1,
3310-2? Holley made different carbs under the same list number. They assigned them revision numbers. Sometimes they changed the fuel curves or calibration between revisions..

its 10 the engine is a 350 bored 60 over the sound goes away when you hit the gas. and there is vacum on the ported sisde on the carb for the hei. it moves the timeing 2 degrees i think

what are the factory settings for the mixture screws arnt they 1 1/2 turn

troy-curt 10-24-2004 04:49 PM

You set the mixture screws to where it idles the fastest and the smoothest.
