Carb adapter help

Friend at work asked me to help him find (if they even have one) an adapter to go from a V6 throttle body manifold to a 4 barrel quadrajet . I havent had much luck, but thought someone here may have an idea. We have access to a mill and such so we can probably fabricate one if we really have too.

He blew his carberated 4.3 and has another 4.3 complete but its TBI. The manifolds aren't interchangeable and he is cheap soo this is where we are at.

IIRC the 4.3 replacement would be a Vortech engine, if the heads off of the original carb'd 4.3 are ok, he could swap them on along with the manifold, and it will work ( compression ratio will be low, but it will run ). otherwise GMPP has the Vortech 4bbl manifold, available from the dealer.... the adaptor you want is likely not available

I believe there are so few people who would actually want to use a quadrajet that the market for such an adapter would be extremely small. I suggest looking at other alternatives.

I went through the same thing mateing up a Ford 65mm TB to a spreadbore intake. What I did was use one of those 1", open center, aluminum carb spacers with the square bore/spread bore bolt hole patterns. TIGed the TB to it and it did the trick. I imagine you might be able to do the same thing with one of those Quadrajet to Holley bolt pattern spacers, and turn it upside down...
