carb adaptor plate? help

hi everyone ive been getting into my new project head first and loving the mopar bliss lol but heres my situation right now...im looking to get alil more umpth from my stock 318 and it has a two barell carb and i have a used edlbrock four barell...i aint got the money to replace the manifold but when the money frees up im gonna put on a new manifold also...but for the time being is there some kinda adapter i can use on the stock 2barell carb manifold to mount my 4 barrel to it? also my other mods to date are true dual exaust pumping out og flowmasters and i think that about coversit lo.l so if anyone can point me in the right direction id greatly apreciate it..thanks,

Yeah Jegs has an Edelbrock adapter for $17.

Mr. Gasket makes a two barrel to square pattern four barrel adapter plate. Just about any speed shop, some Pep Boys and other chain stores have it for around $20. Nothing fancy but it'll suit your needs.

save the $20
a just a bigger carb on a stock motor helps close to nothing....for a street car

your stock 2V carb and correct 2V cam and timing are designed to work together (for highest low-med rpms Hg) for max torque thru about 4500rpms....

"it all has to work together"...carb/intake and cam

I agree. Put your money into headers, a stiffer rear gear or a looser converter.

GOTHROD

1) headers, best bang for the buck $ 120
2) distributor recurved, almost free
3) cold air intake, home made almost free
4) swap meet intake manifold and your carb. $ 100
5) cam kit and retune $ 200-300
