Carb help

What carb do I use on a 1983 chevy k-10 it needs to be smoged, I'm
Putting a edelbrock cam in it as well.

You're gonna have to use the stock type CCC Carb to be legal. There aren't any aftermarket Smog Carbs.

Better do your homework on the cam- too much duration/overlap will adversely effect emissions as well as drivability due to the computer's lack of flexibility. Basically, the vacuum the engine makes has to be a close approximation of stock when using the aftermarket cam

Many of Edelbrock's parts DO carry CARB certification. You might want to use their tech department to be sure you have a chance.

Carb help

Yes I have the 50 state smog legal cam with the Edelbrock intake
With the egr! What about the edelbrock cab #1400 will that work?

The 1400 is listed for '80-back GM vehicles. This means pre-CCC controlled emissions systems. The original carb you had may or may not have been a feedback-type carb. In CA, it most likely was- if it was an original CA emissions compliant vehicle.
